Second Annual Alumni vs High School Game - May 31, 2008

The Second Annual Alumni vs High School game was held on May 31, 2008.  Although the Alumni outnumbered the High School team by more than 2 to 1, the High School team won again giving the High School team a 2 - 0 record. 

The High School team got off to a quick start and had a double digit lead after the first quarter.  In the second quarter, the Alumni picked up the defense and shortened their substitution times and fought back into the game.  At the end of four quarters, the game was tied and a 5 minute over-time was played.  This also finished in a tie as the Alumni tied the game on an out of bounds play where Beth Thom inbounded the the ball off of a High Schooler's back, stepped in bounds, grabbed the ball, and scored.  Due mostly to a tired High School team, the second over-time was sudden victory with the first team to score 2 points winning.  The High School team had just enough left to pull out the win.

After the game, the two teams got together for some catching up since most of the Alumni had been out of town attending college.
