Green Mountain Girls' Gold Crown
2008/2009 Basketball Tryouts
WHAT:
Tryouts for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls competitive basketball. These are the feeder teams for Green Mountain HS. Girls who plan on playing basketball for Green Mountain HS should plan on trying out for these teams. We will be playing in the Gold Crown League.
We plan to have at least one Gold Division team in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels.
For the 5th grade team, our intent is to play in the Gold Crown Silver division at the 6th grade level.
WHEN:
5th & 6th Grade Tryouts
· Tuesday, September 2nd and Wednesday, Sept 3rd
· 7:00 – 8:30 pm
· At Dunstan Middle School
7th & 8th Grade Tryouts
· Saturday, Sept 6th
· 7:00 - 9:00 pm
· At Green Mountain High School
WHAT TO BRING:
For all sessions, bring basketball shoes, gym shorts, T-shirt, water bottle, and a basketball (with your name and phone number on it). Please print a registration form, complete it, and bring it to tryouts.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Each girl participate in a series of drills and scrimmages. Each player is evaluated by all of our current coaches and some former coaches. Each girl will be called within a few days after the tryout to let them know if they made the team. If there are enough players for a Gold division team and a Silver division team, the final decision for who is assigned to which team will be done later in the fall.
